Cirffa is a 3D print focused design company based in Glasgow, Scotland. Created by Affric Townend, predominantly making lighting and lighting accessories. 

"Hi, my name is Affric Townend. I am the product designer and creator of Cirffa. I started off my journey in the creative sector as a fine art photographer, but throughout my time at art school studying the subject I discovered lots of amazing facilities used in design and all the possibilities for creating using methods I'd never seen before, especially 3D printing. 

3D printing to me was like magic, I could have an idea in my head that I drew on my design software and then with the click of a few buttons, bring it into the real world and experience my design as a functional physical object. I have made a lot of 3D printed items since my first time using a printer and it's still so exciting to me. 

I spent a lot of time exploring different methods of three dimensional making, but 3D printing is the one that resonates the most with me. I've always been interested in interior decor, lighting is a big part of, to me, what sets the overall mood for a room and creates the biggest change in atmosphere. Cirffa came about after a series of guests visited me, looked around my home at all the different lights I had made for myself and told me they would want one for themselves and I should sell them. Eventually I decided, I'll do it!"
